Webinar | How to build a Climate Plan adapted to the challenges of RCM territories?

In a nutshell, what does the Climate Plan mean to you?
Our participants' answers:

In February 2024, the Quebec government launched the "Accelerating Local Climate Transition" (ATCL) program, which offers an investment of $500 million over 5 years to Quebec RCMs that commit to implementing a Climate Plan on their territory.

The Climate Plan must be drawn up within 3 years from April 1, 2024, in consultation with local stakeholders, and must reflect the needs of the entire territory of the MRC concerned for the horizons 2041, 2070 and 2100.

The aim of this Webinar is to set out the context and opportunities surrounding the development of a Climate Plan, in order to help RCMs take ownership of the exercise, adapt it to the specific characteristics of their territory and ensure that their Climate Plan is comprehensive in relation to existing plans (e.g. land-use plans, PRMHH, Nature Plan) and climate-related ecological issues such as biodiversity.

The 3 areas of discussion are as follows:

1. Context and opportunities of the Climate Plan

2. Adapting the Climate Plan to your MRC's challenges

3. Integrating biodiversity into your Climate Plan

In this webinar, Fanny Maure, Dominic Lachance and Jérôme Dupras provide answers to these three questions, to help you clarify the expectations of the Climate Plan.
