The Urban Tree Explorer
Our explorer allows you to know the different species of trees on your street, the services they provide to society (carbon sequestration, air quality improvement) and the functional diversity index. This index corresponds to the effective number of functional groups (=NGEF). Tree species are classified into 9 functional groups according to similar biological characteristics. A NEGF of less than 5 is considered low or very low, while a NEGF of more than 7 means that the functional diversity of the area is high or very high.
You can refine your search by using the menu on the right. For example, if you want to look at the distribution of a particular species, you can select "linden" in the "genus" section of the right-hand menu.
