Our co-founder and CEO is one of 11 Acfas 2023 recipients!

The 2023 Acfas Pierre-Dansereau Award was presented to Jérôme Dupras for his social commitment to the environment.

"The winner combines economics and ecology at the heart of his research. One could even argue that he has become a master in the socio-economic assessment of ecosystems and biodiversity. His scientific work and concern for the habitability of our planet have led him to become actively involved in the public sphere, notably by joining various campaigns denouncing the use of fossil fuels in Quebec.

In addition to co-founding Habitat, Jérôme sits on the Quebec government's Advisory Committee on Climate Change and the Ministerial Advisory Committee on the Greening of the Arts, Culture, and Heritage Sector of Canadian Heritage. He also supports several organizations dedicated to protecting and promoting the environment, including the Quebec Wildlife Foundation and the David Suzuki Foundation.
