UrbanForestR is a collection of geomatic and statistical analyses like ForestR, but which specifically characterizes urban forests. This tool is also distinguished by the addition of the TreeForecastR module, which simulates urban canopy growth using machine learning algorithms.

TreeForecastR can estimate the growth rate of 85 tree species in urban environments, and can also predict future growth rates under different climate change scenarios. The tool also identifies and maps the areas least and most suitable for growth of each tree species according to future climate projections and environmental contexts such as urban density.
